Bloggers are out there in this tiny planet (earth) wandering in this gigantic galaxy who do produce really HIGH quality content for their own blogs with a good consistency, but you know? they aren’t getting what they deserve! I mean, no comments, very less or no traffic, posts are not indexed in search engines, nor they’ve even a single comment or social share on their best blog post.
Why? How is this possible?
Well, I’m here to share my own thoughts, tips and some things to avoid to make it happen (to achieve things I’ve mentioned above). You might hear about bloggers first time and would be surprised. You may also be among those bloggers (I mean bloggers producing Quality Content but not getting traffic, comments and indexed in search engines).
Nothing is Impossible! OK? What High Quality Content means? Here’s the my own definition;
The content your readers love, want and prefer reading is simply called High Quality Content.
Is it correct? I ain’t sure, but it is what I think is.
What’s Here?
Here’s something that I think will be strongly helpful, useful for YOU and for bloggers who are working hard but aren’t getting comments, traffic and even a single social share etc. OH, why this happens to them? why other bloggers are getting hundreds of comments on their every post, so faster? Yeah.. That’s not a problem, just there are some things to be done, and some to avoid to get hundreds of comments, social shares and tons of traffic. Here I’ll be writing about the things I do for promotion, things you should avoid and how to caught few things that you aren’t able to get.
Writing Quality Content isn’t HARD But…
Producing High Quality content is never an hard task, still it is the greatest problem for a newbie blogger. Yeah, I know what it feels when you had been seeing the blank text editor without writing a single line (oh. I hate that). This lacks your interest, passion about writing when you’re in such situation. But, don’t be worried about it. It’s just a simple part of blogging/writing, which almost every Problogger faced. OK.. Now, when you’re there with an ability to write high quality content. Don’t write, and publish it only. But, also take time to promote it.. That’s the time taking part, after getting your new post published.
Write but don’t publish a new post without promoting the post you’ve published previously, else you’re writing useless (=of no use). See content creation as the most easy task to do. So, then you’ll be there writing faster. I’ll also share some things you SHOULD do to get traffic, comments, social shares etc (I’m following them except some).

Things to Avoid!
#1 Daily Posting Schedule
Have you got this advice/tip? You surely would have! haha, that’s a funny and worst advice for me ever! We had been blogging with daily posting schedule from the time we started this blog. We chose it because most folks prefer it, but didn’t know that it’s Rocking for Killer Content producers only (which we aren’t). Thus, this was the worst mistake we did during the past 2 months. I’d recommend this schedule for Quality Content producers, tech bloggers and for those who have to share various updates to their readers, else I’d ask every blogger who writes about Blogging, SEO etc to avoid publishing daily. WRITE Valuable!
Do simple work, take several days to write something that adds value! And promote it for some next days, before your next post arrives.
#2 Writing for Readers ONLY
Bloggers are there, with writing only for their blog readers (if they’ve). And have been forgetting about making their content fully optimized for the search engines.. Mistake, that will hit you. I am not saying that don’t write for your blog readers, instead write keeping search engines in your little mind. Don’t go, like writing mostly (totally and only) for search engines! Try this; Write for Readers (valuable) and optimize for search engines then!
Hope you’ll love doing it.
#3 Don’t be a Silent Reader!
Are you one reading, enjoying and getting information from others content on daily basis? But, have never thanked that content creator using comment section. If so, don’t be late doing it right now. You’re unaware of the fact, what you’re losing! Doing NO blog commenting would be the loss of tons of traffic, and some loyal readers etc. But, doing it doesn’t mean that you’re doing it RIGHT. Instead of it, you’ve to do commenting in the best way to get what you must from this simple work, here’s a post that I had written previously about Best Commenting.
Read it: Become a Commenting Rockstar with My 7 Tips!
Here’s What I do for Promotion of this blog
I consider Promotion of any blog content as one of the most important things needed to build a successful blog. Therefore, we bloggers have to read, find tons of strategies to promote our blog, so that it could receive more loyal readers. I do promote not only my blog new posts using different popular social media sites like Facebook, Twitter and StumbleUpon etc. Apart from this, I try to do some blog commenting (on active blogs only), to get some respect from my fellow bloggers, I do guest blogging to be noticed by other bloggers working in the same niche that I’m doing in. And more works are still waiting to be start to get themselves done, there are some more things that I do and you also should, to get your content touched by all your audience. For now, there are not so much tasks that we do for promotion. But, most the things I know can work Best are Here;
1. Using Social Media Sites efficiently
People (including me) are more responsive and active at their social profiles than anything else while using Internet. They do make fun, entertain, chat, learn (rarely) with their friends through such sites, and bloggers there are more interested to explore others blog. Especially, facebook is the best place where I’m active and responsive most time a day. And most important thing we’re getting most of our readers from it not from search engines or from our guest posts. I recommend my fellow-bloggers specially who aren’t active at social sites to use them intelligently. Do share your latest post in different facebook groups, that are formed to share your posts. Don’t SPAM! Include some lines with the link you’re sharing, it will help you to get some attention from others.
If you’re an expert in a particular niche i.e. blogging expert, do help others with the knowledge you’ve! Don’t bother doing it if you think that you’re wasting time.. Believe me this works best, I’ve been some little expert in blogging and trying to present my best help (that others need). Respond everyone (who needs help) like they’re referring to you most especially. Hope it’ll work better for you, because I’m already getting good results from such works. Also it lets you present the thoughts you’ve, expertise and more. If you help others best, good, amazing with the knowledge you’re having people will be interested to read about you through your blog.
Don’t try! But, do it.
2. Offering an eBook
Do it! Offer your readers an eBook for a particular purpose, make sure that it’s not something that readers don’t want (need). Make it short, easy and attractive with tons of knowledge within minimum pages. Feed your blog itself before it’s eBook, so that people would be interested in downloading. The most beneficial thing offering an eBook gives you is that you’ve a great chance to get loads of mailing list subscribers. Though I don’t have written an eBook, nor Aweber (Master Choice).. So, I’m currently trying to feed my own blog before the eBook. Make a great research of the topic you’re interested in writing an eBook on, and keep in mind Quality beats Quantity!
3. Delivering Content through Mailing List
Mailing list is one of the greatest assets of your blog! And most don’t have it. I know, that Aweber isn’t for free! But MailChimp (affiliate link) is free. I’m using it right now, but will migrate to Aweber when I’ll have the ability to afford it. I’ve been using a mailing list for this blog to make sure that my blog readers are getting some good content directly delivered in their inbox too not only when they visit this blog. I highly suggest you to start a mailing list for your own blog and start delivering valuable content that your list subscribers need, want and love to read. If you’re there to start it right now for free, you can get a free account of MailChimp else you can start with Aweber from 1$ for trial.
4. Optimizing for Search Engines
Optimize Content you write and publish on your blog for search engines too, so that the people who search for the thing you’ve published could be found else you’ll be missing thousands of readers. When your content isn’t optimized, but have the content that is being searched on Google or other search engines. Research the keywords you should focus on using Google’s Keyword Tool, so that you could get the visitors who’re searching for a specific article. But, don’t forget your readers too. Make your content first for your readers then optimize it for search engines. I’m using SEOPressor, for On Page SEO and that’s working Cool.
5. Guest Blogging – A way to Steal Readers
Probably, you’re already on that way like many of others are started here to get loyal readers, exposure, high quality backlinks and interaction with your fellow bloggers. This is the best way for me out there to promote my writing, content and my blog. Guest Blogging is now on it’s peak where it is going to be done by almost every blogger. I’m not an exception, but started with it some time back only not so before. Doing it doesn’t mean that you’re doing it right! instead to get most out of Guest Blogging you’re welcomed to provide the best content you’ve written to an authority blog. Make sure, it’s something engaging and will be useful for that blog’s audience. Hope this will help you steal your host’s blog readers doing it like PRO ones do.
6. Blog Commenting like an Expert
I’ve already written a post on being the best commentator or commenting rockstar in the blogosphere. Haven’t you missed it? Simply, read that post, implement the tips you read and you’ll be able to commenting like an Expert but keep in mind that it’s not like a work that you’re doing to get rid of it faster. But, is simply the work that you MUST do for decent traffic (I’m getting much of traffic from my comments left on other blogs). Write comments like you’re writing your blog posts
.
Why very less or NO Traffic?
High Quality content doesn’t ensure that it’ll get loads of traffic, nor it ensures it’ll get comments etc. It’s just a thing which readers prefer, love and want. It isn’t the thing what search engines want to index. A new blog have ZERO (0) readers initially, except the readers that you would have told means your mom, brother and friends etc.
Here are few but solid reasons that you aren’t getting traffic;
- Your blog posts aren’t optimized for search engines (you didn’t used the keywords Searchers use, and some other things aren’t concerned)
- You write and publish! and that’s it. But, don’t take time to promote it
- You don’t engage with your fellow-bloggers
- You don’t do blog commenting
- You don’t write for others (guest post)
Why no Comments?
Believe me or not, you can get hundreds of comments on every post (but if you’ve awesome content and have been doing right things on right time). There may be lots of reasons, why you aren’t getting comments. Few most common are gonna be listed;
- You don’t comment on other blogs (do post comments daily on other blogs’ and let them feel you’re also in the blogosphere) Give comments to take
- You don’t add call to action lines at the end of posts
- Posting a comment at your blog isn’t easy (others have to enter captcha or math question answer to comment, avoid using them instead use Growmap WP Plugin for spam comments)
- You’re annoying (using several check boxes under comment box, I’ve been noticing lots of people doing this)
Why ZERO Social Share?
For the Growth in Social Shares, you simply have to write what your readers would surely want to share with their friends. For this I’d recommend you to write that inspires, make others love your writing and add humors in your posts to make your readers laugh, this will motivate your current readers to spread the laugh they had using social sharing buttons. Few more reasons you aren’t getting even a single social share;
- Placement of social sharing buttons isn’t correct (try placing them at both sides in the starting and ending of post)
- You don’t add call to action at the end of your blog posts, asking blog readers to share your post if they liked it
- You don’t share others content, you read. Do share others posts on your own social profiles to make them share your content. Don’t share every post you read, but find ones that you’re useful, helpful and are worth reading.
- Trick: For retweets, I used JustRetweet. But not using it anymore, you can use it to increase retweets.. Simple!
What’s the Right Way?
I believe that producing high quality content on a regular basis isn’t ENOUGH! And we’ve to do some promotion of our blog content, to get our content reached to all our audience (who need it). While, production of content that strongly others need without doing anything for promotion would be useless, all the content you’ll produce would go of NO use. Therefore, I’m trying to clear my own and others doubts about the topic I started. Currently, I’m trying not only to produce more valuable content but also trying to promote it well. All our focus must be on Promoting after publishing a new post.
My formula: Take days to write + Publish on business days + Promote till the new post arrives using Promotion thing I’ve mentioned above
Am I not Right?
Written the post to share my own thoughts, tips and much more about the production of content without it’s promotion, We ourselves are working hard to promote all our content (among bloggers who need it). I’d strongly recommend all the bloggers who aren’t getting better results even after delivering awesome content, that don’t concentrate only on creation of content but also try to get your audience reach, try to get others attention towards your efforts.
[box type="info"] Let’s share your own thoughts about this bit LENGTHY post. I hope that you’ll do use my tips and will share you own with me.

Mairaj,
You’ve written wonderful article that no body love to read the article which written without putting quality or helping readers in mind, instead of writing a lot of posts providing basic idea about the topic, we can write it briefly to help readers to find all the things in one place, that is our blog.
If we write the contents with some basic tips, what can be next is readers readers will read the basic ideas on our blog and search it some other blogs for brief posts about the basic ideas gathered from our blog and subscribe, share, tweet etc.. other blog posts and won’t return to our blog.
Also as you mentioned, I wondered a lot of people willing to read contents without any contribution like liking the post, commenting, sharing etc.
We need to engage with fellow bloggers to help them to reach their post to millions of audience will help us to get more social shares and likes etc for our post.
So basically hanging with readers, fellow bloggers, subscribers etc will help us to reach our milestone.
Thanks to the wonderful post.
Thumbs UP for your Naveen!
I write! Publish! Promote for Days! Simple..
Thanks for your comment, and highlighting the things that I’ve written.
Now a days all peoples are need valuable topics those topics are helping him and also now interesting topics are getting huge amount of success.
But guest posting, social media and unique content writing giving an amazing traffic that we are expecting.
Janmejaya, Promotion is essential for me! And writing content that can go VIRAL is something that we must try to.
Thanks!
I myself is one the guy who is facing same problem. I always spend too much time to write my posts and from my point of view I m moving in some wrong direction and still not having any good traffic.
You have represented the full squeeze of this common issue and for sure a lot of bloggers will be happy after reading this post.
We must always take a break after writing the content and only after getting the satisfactory traffic and comments we should move to the next post. Social media have been integrated in our lives so smartly that we can get anything from this as we want.
Thumbs up for this awesome post.
Kulwant!
Simply try going VIRAL, it will be the thing that you will get you tons of social shares, natural backlinks and lots comments all through writing UNIQUE.
Follow the works that Probloggers do.. I’ll be writing a post on that, how can you capture several ultimate tips from their writing very easily.
Thanks for stopping by.
Sure lost of people visit our blog everyday, but only a handful of people will ever leave a comment. Maybe they don’t care to share what they feel, or maybe feel embarrassed to speak as they feel they are a newbie. I don’t know, but bloggers need feedback good or bad so they how to progress.
Thanks for your comment Simmeon, Promotion is must.
Creating a great content is not enough. You need to share that on social media. Leave links in the commentluv link section while writing comment other’s blog. you must let people know about that content. Also While writing keeping keyword density in mind is better SEO practice.
Thanks Mairaj.
Puneet NEVER comment only on blogs with enabled CommentLuv but you also have to write comments for blogs without that plugin. I’d highly recommend and suggest you that, don’t be greedy for CommentLuv links.
Do commenting like an Expert, do it just to help, to express your opinions etc.
Please consider over what I said.
Yes You are right but its the truth that most of the blogger do comment just to get link. Yes they should do something good for the host blogger because they are getting backlinks which are precious.
Thanks
High quality content is a must for blogging success, but there is more to that if we truly want success.
We have to be friendly with other bloggers and do this which gets traffic via blog commenting, guest posting, networking on social media.
Great post by the way pal.
Thanks Kharim for commenting here! I’m glad that you’re satisfied with what I’ve written.
Building a Network around yourself is the most important thing that a blogger should do!
HI Mairaj.
Congratulation for a different thought and approach in article.
I do agree that blogging is not all about Quality Content ONLY…
Its all about a great combination of
Quality Content + SEO + Promotion + Planning + Interaction with your readers and other fellow bloggers + helping others + Sharing your knowledge
If you miss anyone then you miss a lot in your final goal.
Thanks for sharing your own thoughts and experience about the topic.
Awesome Combination my friend. That’s what a new blogger needs to understand.
But, what the hell they’re almost just going after MONEY! That they mustn’t to be successful here.
Thanks for comment anyway.
First of all very impressed with your writing skills. Its unfortunate that producing High quality content is not enough specially in this era of competition. The main thing matter now a days is unique content because if you have a technology blog than why people read your blog when there is Mashable.com and other high quality blogs. So in my view just focus on producing content unique and interesting just like your blog.
Hey Zeeshan,
Nice to see your comment. And thanks for being Impressed, that’s what I liked the most from your first comment at my blog. Unique content is what, is the most essential thing that makes a blogger stands out from the crowded niche bloggers.. I’m following it only! Thanks!
When i started my blogging journey, i didn’t know thing about how SEO works and link building. I kept on writing content, as a result i’ve got zero return on my hours of investment. I hope one should start out with a plan before hand. Great Article Mairaz
Gautham, I think same happens to almost every blogger. I also invested more than a year to learn from mistakes and start this wonderful blog. Thanks for your comment.
Yes, I do agree with your views Mairaj. Just producing high quality content is not enough, promotion is always needed to get more exposure from your posts. Anyways, thanks for sharing this amazing article Mairaj, I really appreciate it
.
Thanks for value adding comment! Good Luck.
Hey there Mairaj,
Another great quality article. I think you have it right on the spot. Most bloggers (even I included, most of the time) tend to produce quality articles but really get very less results from it. This is mostly due to the fact that most of us only concentrate on creating article but rarely do promote it. I think Promoting/Link Building/Social Engagement is certainly very important if you want to be successful in the blogging world.
Shiva, thanks for sharing your own views about the topic. I simply, just put out something that can ATTRACT.
I really quite enjoyed your post, difficulties with English aside. Especially for someone fifteen years old, you seem to have a strong grip on how to promote your website.
I would venture to suggest, however, that high quality content does NOT happen like magic. Particularily in your blog’s case, some careful work with clarity and concise expression would do you well. SEO you apparently have down pat!
@Dan, got your first comment filled with many facts and contains what I want from a reader and expect. Producing High Quality content, most times would be waste of time. If, time isn’t given to promotion. As, you’ve informed me and I also knew about SEO, it’s indeed LOW, and needs to be optimized. We’re working on it, and will hopefully, find a way to optimize them. Posts are needed to be optimized, so I’d love to hear from you. What should be done in order to optimize posts for SEO?
Even, I ain’t receiving keywords for most posts out there.
Thanks for insightful comment here.
THIS ONE IS A NICE ARTICLE…. you have a good knowledge!!
really beneficial for me…
Thanx for sharing
this is useful information….
Thanks Tarnjit.
Very Much.
Thanks Mairaj for these awesome tips. Valuable and interesting topic is always important. Your article helps lot’s of newbie blogers.
I think you are 100 right. Whats the point of producing quality content is no one is going to visit your site. First produce some good back bone content and then write posts periodically and then take time off to promote them on various social media sites. Unless one does not do something like that its difficult to get visitors.
High quality is necessary but no i don’t think its enough, you have to do good SEO have a good design and social media coverage in order to reach the max potential. That what i think. (:
You have share an excellent article on producing content. Today content creation is not enough, you need to share on social media sites. and getting the more and more actual back links through the blog commenting and forum posting. Thanks fro sharing good work.
It’s really a true that producing high quality content isn’t enough and it could also be your worst mistake in blogging journey. Produce worth, promote intelligently without annoying others and that’s it.
Guest blogging is the best way here.
Welcome your words, appreciate them.
As we know that content is the king but Only quality content is not enough to success in the blogging. In this way many things are needed like as you mention in your article. your blog should be optimize according to Google search engine and also it should be advertise on social media sites.
Thanks
I believe, content is king. But, it won’t work if other important things aren’t applied for promotion.
Thanks, do promote well but not by annoying others.
Hi,
there are millions of article on the Internet these days. so we need to stand out just awesome content with properly written articles.
Hi Ravi! I am totally agree with you Quality content is king. but we need to share on social media sites. and we should give the advertise of social media sites. And really
i believe at all this great way.
DAMN HIGH quality content some time is not good because it depends on the user what actually he/she want to read, To the point talking and writing and simple writing is the best way to adjust your blog and hold the reader. and secondly the series of anything you write is the best to get more attraction or user if you are writing one thing make your self sure that you are also covering the essential and linked part of that post as well.
Wonderful post..
Producing high quality content is not a easy task we should search more about the topic and spend more time to make a good and useful post..
your formula is amazing Mairaj.Every one wants to try your formula, definitely they will get success like you..thanks for sharing your ideas, its really useful.
Hi,
First of all very impressed with your writing style. In first attempt your article is attract me and create the excitement insight me. So I have read more times and further I will read it and get the skill, learn how to produce content that are SEO friendly. Its unfortunate that producing High quality content is not enough specially in this era of competition. The main thing matter now a days is fresh and unique content spread over the social media sites. Thanks
I love high quality content but i hate high informatic content
add your love to your posts with your writing
Very long post
just skimmed over it will read it later
Dear,
it’s very nice and informative article. lot of people visit our blog everyday. I have read more times and further I will read it and get the skill. Every one wants to try your formula, definitely they will get success like you
Thanks
Hi,
very excellent and very nice post. only high quietly content is not enough to getting high traffic when we went to get more traffic we should do promote the site as you mention above a really impassive your tips and facts.
Thanks
Hi Mairaj,
Amazing tips… You have done a great research in blogging, i think and the facts and tips are really informative. Content is important part of webpage but it is not enough to gather the high traffic. Promotion of any blog content as one of the most important things needed to build a successful blog.
Hi Dude, I am fully impressed of your aticle. Really its effective. Thats fact Original content is not enough to get the traffic. This is also depand on your topics that what which topics are more attractive for peoples. If your content will be high quality then your topics should be interesting and very attractive then it will be much better for the bloggers. Well thanks for counting me.
I believe marketing is at least as important as content production. If I spend an hour producing the content, I put at least 3 hours to distribute it to various sources to make sure it reached wider audience.
